Notes
The reality of week 2 is that class 8 had a very uneventful week. Favorites won and generally by the expected spread. The lone exception might be Clarksville:
#15 Clarksville, pregame 11-point underdogs, won at home over #22 Northwood-Kensett 50-0. Clarksville next journeys to #5 Janeville as a 16-point underdog.
However, there is more to the story. This week Northwood-Kensett was announced as a 1-0 forfeit winner over West Bend-Mallard. The score on the field was WB-M 50 N-K 8.
And thus, due to a fluke of the score database, Clarksville probably should have been thought of as the favorite. And then we are left with our original conclusion: the reality is that week 2 was totally uneventful.
Game of the week:
#6 (3-0) Lenox travels to #11 (2-0) Sidney in a district 8 showdown. Lenox enters as a 2-point road favorite.
